Diamond SIS began with one customer and a singular vision:
To design solutions that support our clients’ goal to have efficient and compliant school operations.

Founded in 2001, Dianna Atwood and Barre Kennerley set out to develop a user-friendly, flexible and integrated school management software package for Mech-Tech College in Puerto Rico. They left Puerto Rico with not one, but three satisfied clients and ten campuses, and a new school management software company was born.

From the beginning, Diamond SIS has been a hands-on company in philosophy and application. In addition to delivering quality software, the company made a point to provide quality customer service, complete implementation and training, along with ongoing support from a knowledgeable team.

The comprehensive software, packaged with outstanding service at a great price, helped Diamond SIS grow rapidly, with clients across the United States. In 2013, Diamond SIS became a subsidiary of Account Control Technology, Inc. (ACT), a financial services company serving the education space since 1990.

Today, Diamond SIS is solely owned by Jim Queen, CEO. With clients at over 270 campuses nationwide, and our first clients in Puerto Rico still with us, we continue to pioneer new innovations for career schools.

The focus of Diamond SIS and its’ team of dedicated professionals is to provide tools to streamline and optimize every stage of the student life-cycle. Our innovative approach is to design our product with every necessary feature, yet simultaneously allow integrations at every stage with third-party companies and products. Recognizing that partnership and collaboration is key in today’s advanced interactive world, Diamond SIS leads the field in technology, services and collaboration.
